Mathematics is our passion. We think outside the box and ship the results inside.

These shapes were sketched by Wenzel Jamnitzer, a prominent geometer who had to make a living as goldsmith for emperors and kings. With these drawings, he explains to a town guard of 16th century Nuremberg how the city council is composed (according to the author Edith Parzefall).

A decatriahedron has a hexagonal base with a hexagonal pyramid on top. Thus it has thirteen corners and faces. One earring with a decatriahedron represents the thirteen older bürgermeisters, the second symbolizes the thirteen younger bürgermeisters.

The hexahedron has eight corners and six faces, while it's the other way round with the octahedron: eight faces and six corners. The pendant is composed of two Platonic solids. The cube or hexahedron (according to Plato the earth) symbolizes the old representatives, while the octahedron (according to Plato the air) symbolizes the crafts. With your pendant you will get a leather strap and an instruction for a real hangman's knot!
